Brenda Cole’s knowledge and experience within the healthcare industry spans over 30 years, and includes tenures at Aetna and BCBS. These experiences include positions in the areas of Medicare, Billing and Enrollment, Training and Development, Member/Provider Services, Member/Provider Grievances & Appeals, Account Services, Training & Quality Assurance, and Marketplace Inclusion Strategy.

Brenda joined Harvard Pilgrim Health Care in February 2012 as Vice President of Customer Service & Sales Operations, and most recently transitioned to her new role as Vice President of Marketplace Inclusion Development. In her new role, Brenda is responsible for developing, and implementing a strategy that prepares the organization for the changing multicultural/multilingual demographics, and aligning the Marketplace Inclusion Initiative with the end goal to profitably grow business in new and existing markets, create customer value through innovation and technology, while delivering best in-class customer service in the communities we live and work in.

Brenda has a personal commitment to mentoring and developing young minority women who have demonstrated great potential and talent. She’s authored a non-published book on Mentoring several years ago, which assisted in the development of a formal Employee Mentoring Program at Aetna, Inc., and she is currently writing a book on Leadership – Up Close and Personal.

Brenda comes to Massachusetts from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and received her BA from Eastern University in Organizational Management, and her MBA from University of Phoenix.
